Survivor Matt Thomson – brother-in-law of PC Ian Terry, who died on duty in 2008, kindly volunteered to represent the Care of Police Survivors charity at the recent Lincolnshire Police Annual Carol Concert.
Matthew said, “We are extremely honoured to have been offered the opportunity to represent COPS charity at the Lincolnshire Police Carol Service this year. It was a fabulous occasion in a wonderful setting, filling us with Christmas spirit.”
COPS would like to thank Chief Constable Chris Haward for selecting Care of Police Survivors as their chosen charity and the recipient of the concert collection, which raised a staggering £1000 at the event.
A huge thank you goes out to Matt for representing the charity. Having a survivor attend brings a poignant message to others about the sacrifice officers make every single day to keep the public safe. The charity exists to help build back shattered lives.
