A courageous little boy from Leicestershire is taking on a 23-mile cycling challenge round a reservoir in Rutland to raise money for COPS – and the passionate police fan has already nearly smashed his £500 target.
Despite only learning to ride his bike last summer, eight-year-old Jay is excited to take on the challenge after his Twitter followers raised money to get him a new bike.
Jay, who has more than 6,000 Twitter followers said: “This is the first time I’ll be raising money for COPS, I chose the charity as they do amazing work for some amazing people.
“I’m hoping to complete the bike ride on the 10th July if restrictions allow, but I’ve not been cycling long so I’m putting in plenty of practice with my mum so I can build up my confidence.
“I’ll be completing the ride with my mum, dad, and brother and my little sister will join us for part of it too, I can’t wait.”
