A cheque for £1,500 has been presented to COPS from Hampshire Police Federation.
COPS trustee Annabel Poate-Joyner recently accepted a cheque from the federation, that represents more than 3,000 officers, which named COPS one of its chosen charities.
The federation recently held a special dinner recognising the bravery and inspiring work of its members, as well as raising money for COPS.
Zoe Wakefield, chair of Hampshire Police Federation, said: “Myself and others did the UK Police Unity Tour and it opened our eyes to what COPS actually means to people. We were aware of what the charity did previous to taking part in the tour, but it made us decide we wanted to do all we could to help COPS.
“COPS is an amazing charity that provides so much support – we are honoured to be able to help.”
Annabel said: “On behalf of COPS, I’d like to thank Hampshire Police Federation for so generously supporting COPS and also thank the Solent Hotel at Whiteley for their kind contribution to the donation.”
The money was raised by the federation holding fundraising events throughout the year, as well as holding a small auction on the night.
