Registration open for 2022 Police Unity Tour

Registration for the 2022 Police Unity Tour is open, and spaces are filling up fast.

Since its inception 10 years ago the tour has raised a staggering £1m for COPS.

The aim is to raise awareness of police officers who have died while on duty, and at the same time raise funds for COPS.

This year the ride takes place from Friday 19 August to Sunday 21 August.

Last year saw more than 350 riders take part, which culminated at COPS annual Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum.

The man responsible for starting the UK tour, Metropolitan police officer Rob Atkin, said his vision has always been to raise money for COPS, raise awareness of police officer deaths, and never forget fallen colleagues.

Speaking previously, Rob said this year the aim is to get every police force involved in the ride.

“We always wanted to make it big, to raise as much money as we could for COPS,” he said.

“Last year we did well raising £100,000, and in total we have now raised £1m which is amazing – but we want to do more.”
