COPS excited to announce Winter Ball 2022!

Care of Police Survivors is delighted to announce that Shared Services Connected Ltd (SSCL), a leading provider of business-critical support services to policing, will be the headline platinum sponsor of the charity’s 2022 Winter Ball.

The prestigious black-tie event raises money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) the only charity in the UK solely dedicated to supporting the families of police officers and staff who die on duty.

SSCL’s police and resourcing services managing director David Parsons said: “SSCL is a keen supporter of COPS’ work and we feel very honoured to be able to sponsor the 2022 Winter Ball. We’re proud that this sponsorship supports the surviving family members of police officers and staff who have died on duty to help them to rebuild their shattered lives.

“We’re looking forward to a lovely evening and the opportunity to hear and see some stories about the amazing work undertaken over the last year and the impact this has had for all the survivors.”

David and his team have worked tirelessly in the past to raise money for COPS, including holding a number of fundraising events and taking part in the virtual Police Unity Tour.

On Saturday 5 February 2022, COPS will be hosting the spectacular black-tie event at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

The evening will include a drinks reception, three-course dinner, live entertainment, and a chance to win some once-in-a-lifetime lots in an exclusive auction.

The charity’s patron Penny Lancaster, who is a special constable with the City of London Police, will not only be attending but also running the unique auction.

COPS chief executive, Tim Buckley, said: “We are so grateful to SSCL for their support both in sponsoring our fabulous event but also in the help they provide through the year direct to us and in support of the Police Unity Tour.

“It is clear they really understand the amazing impact we have and the help we provide.”
