A huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Virtual Police Unity Tour.
The virtual ride is open to anyone who wants to raise money for Care of Police Survivors – the charity that supports the families of police officers that die on duty.
The 100-mile challenge, which can be done over several rides, can be completed physically on a real bike, on a Zwift ride or even on an exercise bike.
The event raised more than £800 for COPS.
Phil Clare, organiser of the Virtual Police Unity Tour, said that the ride allows staff and supporters to show their respect for those officers who have died and their families.
He said: “It all started when we couldn’t do the normal one last year, so we did it virtually and it went really well and me made lots of money.
“That’s what it’s about – raising as much as we can for COPS. We do it to make a difference.”
He added: “We will be back next year bigger and better.”
Anyone who is interested in taking part in the Virtual Police Unity Tour 2022 is urged to keep an eye on our website.
