Care Of Police Survivors and Winston’s Wish Support Partnership for Survivors
COPS has partnered with Winston’s Wish to provide specialist counselling support for families bereaved by the loss of their Police Officer. The partnership means that all COPS families with children aged up to 18 will be able to access the full Winston’s Wish support programme, irrespective of the manner of their Police Officer’s death.
Winston’s Wish is able to support Survivors by providing a range of services including therapeutic phone support via the Helpline, publications and resources available through the Winston’s Wish website and where needed access to in depth one to one support.
Through their work with military and emergency service families, Winston Wish professionally qualified practitioners understand the complexities that come with bereavement through active service.
The support available through this partnership is available at no cost to all COPS families with children aged up to 18 right throughout the UK.
To speak to a Winston’s Wish practitioner call the Helpline 08088 020 021. The helpline is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
