How can you help?

COPS is run primarily by survivors and volunteers. We would ideally like to have at least one Voluntary Representative in each UK Police Service, more where there is a large staff or widespread force area.

Are you a Police Officer, Special Constable, PCSO or Member of Police Staff?

Could you:

  • be an ambassador for COPS at your Force or department / division?
  • raise COPS profile by distributing COPS Newsletter / publicity material or posters etc?
  • tell us about local police open days, fetes or Memorial events we may be able to attend?
  • act as point of contact for other officers & staff with questions or enquiries?
  • contribute your skills for the benefit of the Charity? (are you a photographer or have a particular computer skill?)
  • perhaps sell COPS pins or wrist bands on a sale or return basis?
  • perhaps organise small-scale fundraising initiatives e.g. COPS cake sale, shift breakfast etc?
  • perhaps assist with the running of a COPS stall at local events / support local COPS Fundraising Committee member.

If you think you can help with some, or all of the above (as a volunteer you chose what you are able to help us with) please email volunteer@ukcops.org or telephone our office on 0844 893 2055 and we will send you all the information you need.

Due to privacy and data protection considerations we would NOT expect a Voluntary Rep to have particular contact with local survivors, unless initiated by the survivor and in relation to their duties as a Rep.

Police Family but not one of the above? We appreciate your support so if you have any questions about how you can help please email volunteer@ukcops.org for information.

If you have a fundraising idea, please see our Fundraising Page.
