Some time ago Al Goold, from Blue Knights Scotland I, promised to take a COPS bear to German Blue Knight Claudia Gierisch when he next met her. He kept that promise this past weekend at the Germany VIII rally at Zeven.
Claudia who had seen the bears on the website was delighted with the gift and insisted on making a donation to COPS.
Claudia and her husband Manfred are pictured with her bear.
Danke Claudia.

"For the second year running the South Wales based band Midlife-Crisis have put on a charity gig in support of COPS. The three piece band has a history of links with the Police Service, the lead guitar is a retired Officer (now Support Staff), the lead singer a serving Detective Sergeant and the bass player the brother of a Uniformed Officer. With £685 of donations to date and with a Christmas gig already pencilled in to once again support us the band are hoping to break the £1000 donation total this year. Anyone looking to put on a function for COPS should call Ieuan on 07971 007431 who will be happy to arrange the bands attendance, have a look at their website if you get a chance www.midlife-crisis.co.uk "

Cheques totalling over £3,500 were presented to eight charities on 18 March by the organisers of the annual Emergency Services Show.
The event, held at Hullavington airfield, is run by a volunteer committee from Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police and Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS).
Last year’s Show, the fourth, attracted over 8,000 visitors who came from across the region to see the array of emergency service vehicles and demonstrations on offer.
Amongst the attractions were fire engine rides, the air ambulance, a wide range of vintage vehicles from all three ‘blue light’ services, displays by the police dog team and the fire service cadets, a road traffic collision extrication demonstration, and specialist equipment from Wiltshire and other areas.
All profits are ploughed into charitable donations to support organisations with links to the emergency services. Penny Walters was on hand to receive a cheque for £350 on behalf of COPS.
Attending the presentations were the Chief Fire Officer Andy Goves, Chief Constable Brian Moore and Assistant Chief Ambulance Officer Keith Scott.

In our December newsletter we credit Professor Sue Black with raising £2741. Sue wishes to make clear that although she is our contact the money was raised due to the generosity of officers attending the UK Disaster Victim Identification course. We apologise for any misunderstanding and are very grateful to you all. ACC Graham Sunderland presenting the cheque on behalf of the UK DVI Course.
